Promoting, managing, peddling...

I've been trying to get my band's music out there as much possible. Where is "out there" you may wonder? I don't really know. I've been emailing radio stations with links back to our site, shipping EPs off to people who might want to listen, and being super obnoxious on Facebook with updates about the product I'm pushing by providing helpful links back to our online store.

I'm sure a lot of the time and effort will go wasted and unnoticed, but I'm hoping that some of it might yet prove fruitful.

So now I'm going to tell you about it.

My band The Music Room just had the opportunity to record a five-song EP in November and it's ready to be metaphorically shelved with countless other albums in the struggling music market. The five songs that made the cut are ones that have taken shape over the last year or so. It's taken time for me to believe that I can actually write a complete song and I guess that this EP is further evidence for myself that I CAN finish something.

If you're interested in lyrics about relationships, life, love, God, doubts, faith and raw emotion sung by an angelic soprano (my sister) then you might like it. Go check it out at our site www.entertheroom.com

I believe that once you kill all your self doubt and watch them cower back into the shadows, you can create something true, honest and beautiful. After you've created something you're proud of, you should share it with the world.

Here you go world:

...ramble on...

  1. I was just listening to the local "Christian" music station the other night while driving and I thought to myself, "Why do they keep playing the same old shiz, year after year, haven't they heard of the Music Room or Phil Wickham or Grayson's stuff?" And so, I've decided to email them with my suggestions and hope and pray that they listen.
