So according to the Mayans we've only got two more years until a cataclysmic, earth-altering, magnetic-shifting extravaganza will take place on this planet we all call home. That is unless someone is reading this from a distant, other-place somewhere beyond the known/traceable universe, if so, welcome to my blog and I'd advise you to stay on your own life-sustaining planet; earth's a little unstable at the moment. Due to the unpredictable nature of our universe I suggest that instead of making a resolution for the upcoming year, we should make a resolution that will span the next two years. Here are some things you should consider before making your "2 Years Left For Sure" resolution.
First, keep in mind that your resolution should be purposeful beyond common purposes. It should go beyond the temporal, the mortal, and the physical. Do something for your soul; it may be the only thing to survive 2012.
Secondly, make your resolution something extravagant. Do something that you've always avoided, but have also secretly longed to do. This will be different for everyone. One man's normal is another man's absurd. Follow your best judgment, but don't forget to consult your instinct. You might be a lion disguised as a house cat, or you may indeed be a house cat, but hey! there's only one way to find out, so start roaring at lions.
Thirdly, love somebody. This love is not restricted to romance, but can find its expression in many forms. But love deeply, fearlessly, and without reservation. If two years is all we've got for sure then leave a legacy of love behind.
I hope that we live beyond 2012, but the truth is that nobody knows for sure how much time they've got left on earth. I think that's a fact we often forget. Our existence is ephemeral in respect to eternity, so live for eternity and transcend the common man.

So I have thought long and hard about your recent 2 years resolution, and I think I have come up with an adequate resolve that covers all the depth of your challenge. For the next 2 years I will intensely ridicule any mayan that I come in contact with, which will hopefully cause them to think twice before making such dire predictions or intense cinematic action scenes
