Why do I love New Years more than any other holiday? Well because it not only marks the beginning of another round, but it triumphantly marks the end of another holiday season. There aren't any obligatory family dinners or parties anymore, there aren't any awkward conversations with distant relatives, or half hugs/back pats with the significant others of these distant relatives. New Years is all about celebration, pure and simple. You can celebrate and make goals for your own life, and I'll do the same with mine, we'll drink and be merry and optimistically embrace whatever 2010 and may have for us. Goodbye awkward dinners, hello beer and merrymaking strangers!
